With PyCharm you can study programming languages and related technologies using the educational capabilities available in PyCharm Edu edition. You can enable these capabilities for PyCharm Community and PyCharm Professional through the EduTools plugin.
Install EduTools plugin
The PyCharm Community Edition is free and open source with very few restrictions and there is no free trial. There is a free trial with the professional version of PyCharm, but this is not a trial piece of software, this is a program that was built to help people fall in love with (and rely on) PyCharm tools. There's no substitute for hands-on experience. But for most students, real world tools can be cost-prohibitive. That's why we created the GitHub Student Developer Pack with some of our partners and friends: to give students free access to the best developer tools in one place so they can learn by doing.
In the Settings/Preferences dialog Ctrl+Alt+S, select Plugins and search for EduTools plugin (if needed, click Search in repositories ).
Click Install to launch the installation process. When done, you'll be asked to restart PyCharm.
With the educational mode enabled, you can act as a Learner or an Educator.
